Humid days with isolated afternoon showers

HAVANA TIMES – Cuba is under the influence of migratory high-pressure systems of continental origin, whose center in recent hours has been located over the waters of the western Atlantic Ocean. This system has allowed northeast to east winds to dominate much of the Cuban archipelago, favoring the arrival of low clouds over the northern coastal areas of Havana, triggering some rain.

In the coming days, the weak influence of continental migratory high-pressure systems will persist, maintaining a wind flow from the northeast. This will continue to facilitate the arrival of low clouds to the northern coastal areas, encouraging occasional showers from the early afternoon. Additionally, the passage of a trough in the mid-troposphere over the Gulf of Mexico, combined with sufficient moisture input from the Caribbean Sea in the lower atmospheric layers, will lead to precipitation extending over much of the capital by late afternoon and evening.

Relative humidity will range between 70% to 90%. High temperatures will range from 26°C to 28°C (79°F to 82°F), while lows will range from 16°C to 22°C (61°F to 72°F). Sea surface temperatures will be around 26°C (79°F).
